COVID-19 Update

Regular Season Update

We hope that you and your loved ones are doing well and staying safe during this unique and challenging time.

We apologize for the delay in providing this update, but rest assured that the leadership group of CRHG, MRHA and HRH continue to closely monitor the updates and information surrounding COVID-19.

Maintaining the safety of our players, their families and our staff, is of the utmost importance.

Although we were looking to run an exciting first year under the Canadian Roller Hockey Group banner, for both the Mississauga and Oakville leagues, Covid-19 unfortunately threw an unexpected “monkey wrench” into our plans. We are currently looking into a couple of different options, but until we get clarity and further updates from the regulators, everything remains uncertain.

We can appreciate that everyone is anxious to hear some positive news about the season and would appreciate a definitive plan, however the only thing we can offer at this time is assurances that we are looking at different ways to make this work. Before we can implement any of our options, we need to establish and consider all of the guidelines and directives being set forth by all levels of government.

As it stands, the City of Mississauga and the Town of Oakville will not permit entry into their respective facilities. Although we recognize that a "normal" season will not be possible, we have formulated some contingency plans, but they rely heavily on the permissions that will be granted by the city and/or town.

Under normal circumstances, we would run our program from Mid April to the 3rd week of June. Now, depending on when we get the “go ahead” and or which location we play out of we could possibly run until the end of August.

Our goal is to run a successful program(s). We all can see clearly that Roller Hockey is getting a lot of action on our social media platforms.

We want to be in a position to take advantage of that, and of course grow the sport.

Stay tuned, we hope to be hosting tournaments in June or July!
